Hotels and Inns in the US

Here is a selection of hotels in the local area. We thought it would be helpful to give you some ideas but please, do not feel obliged to use these if you find somewhere else to stay.

The Old Corner Inn

This little B&B is within walking distance from Tuck's Point, where the wedding will be held.

Around the turn of the century the North Shore was a summer playground for Boston's high society, much as Newport was to New York. Manchester By-The-Sea, in the heart of the North Shore, has been sought out by the most discriminating for many years. They were drawn here by its scenic harbor, sandy beach, the quiet, and the short trip from Boston. The Old Corner Inn Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located on Route 127, a scenic stretch of road that takes you through this beautiful area. This road is popular for touring by car, bicycle, walking or jogging, and also leads you to the attractions of neighboring Salem, Gloucester and Rockport.

The Hawthorne Hotel

The Hawthorne is a beautiful hotel in downtown Salem. Bruce loves driving or walking by this hotel because they have a tradition of placing two flags outside of their front entrance every day.  One flag is always a country flag and the other is a State Flag. Bruce tries to figure out which flags are flapping in the breeze and then tells Andrea an interesting fact about the country or state flag he guessed. Sometimes we see flags of countries we have been to or plan to go to for our honeymoon!

Discover the timeless feel of the iconic Hawthorne Hotel. This traditional full-service hotel provides a convenient location in the heart of Salem's historic district - ideal for business and leisure travelers. Our classic Salem, Massachusetts hotel offers 93 rooms including 6 suites , each individually furnished and tastefully appointed.
