Let's get this party started....

We haven't blogged in a while... and so much has happened... Let's start keeping track of our shenanigans again. We are a family of 4 in Salem, MA. Bruce, Andrea, Emma (4 3/4yo), and Zoe (1 3/4yo). Emma is sweet, intelligent, critical, and all consuming. Zoe is as we say... an maniac ankle bitter... who just learned to say the world "blue" ("BOOO!") yesterday in the tub.  Our girls are brilliant, funny, and a hell of a lot of work. This pandemic has been hard. We have suffered the anxiety, sadness, rage, and exhaustion of pandemic parenting. The girls are growing and thriving but we know we could be better with them. We are full time teachers and we are thinking about starting a small urban microgreens business... We dream of moving to a place with a lot of land, chickens, a farm or huge permaculture food forest. We love to see the world and eat from the trees. This year has limited our ability to act on these passions but has forced us to dream even more than we ever had... even if we aren't getting anywhere near as much sleep... As the world turns again, new president, new vaccine, new season soon... I dream of being better too.
